Anadrol – Big Gains, Big Risks

Anadrol is a helluva drug.

Extremely effective for building strength and lean muscle mass, this anabolic steroid gets results. Subjects taking this compound typically add several pounds of muscle in 1-2 weeks, with gains continuing even as body fat levels drop. Strength goes up significantly, as does aggression in the gym. There is a huge water weight gain as well, which makes the user feel as big as a house.

Taken in high doses, however, Anadrol can prove very detrimental for health. As with most anabolic steroids, the most powerful drugs have the most powerful side effects. The extreme spike in testosterone levels that accompanies Anadrol use is also accompanied by a spike in estrogen levels, which results in some level of Gynecomastia for almost two-thirds of Anadrol users.

More serious than Gynecomastia and estrogen issues are the effects upon the liver. Cysts containing blood often form on the liver during Anadrol cycles. While they typically go away very quickly when use is ceased, they are fairly undetectable until they reach the cancerous stage. For this reason, users of Anadrol, even those experienced with drugs and okay with the side effects, should always cycle on and off the drug. Long-term use of Anadrol will lead to liver cancer in most cases. The good news for users is that the side effects are temporary, and intelligent use (low doses and short-term use) can make Anadrol a highly effective drug.

If you are prone to heart disease, you should avoid Anadrol altogether. The use of any anabolic or androgenic agent raises blood lipid levels, making most steroids a likely candidate for increasing the risks of heart disease. However, since Anadrol is more powerful than most steroids, the risks for arteriosclerosis, heart attacks, or edema is significantly higher. Repeat if you have a family history of heart disease, or your own history of high blood pressure or blocked arteries, Anadrol can kill you. Always put health before muscle gains, and avoid Anadrol if this applies to you.

Women should never use Anadrol. The chances of virilization are extremely high for woman who adds this drug to their stack. Unless you are already a hormonized woman who is completely not concerned about the effects, avoid Anadrol at all costs.

Don’t let the side effects scare you. Taken in small doses for short periods of time, Anadrol can boost size and strength and help you to overcome plateaus. Like all good things in life, however, it should not be abused.
